Did you capture the American Idol finals last year between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? The one with the finest voice?
So numerous business owners waste their time and money boasting about being the finest. “We sell the best doohickeys …” “We offer the finest consumer service …” ‘
It’s dopey to brag about being the very best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everybody states it.
2. It’s probably not true.
3. We do not think you anyway
However do not fret about it, ’cause
4. We’re not constantly trying to find the best.
Are they the best? Not 30 years earlier when the song came out and certainly not now. Somehow a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his properties on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks!
The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The reason they call it “it” is due to the fact that it’s tough to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charisma, magnetism, the power to bring in and hold an audience. Honestly, Rod Stewart never ever did it for me, however Elvis absolutely had “it”.
Access Your Inner Elvis
I just saw a movie about Elvis’ life. Why are individuals so captivated by Elvis? Why are they still informing me “Tsufit, I simply saw Elvis at a convenience store!” when he passed away prior to Britney Spears was born? Why? Because a personality that huge never ever dies.
Why was the person such a star? Was it his appearance, his character, his voice, his music? It’s probably all of those things– together with this wonderful thing called “it”, however even with Elvis, it took him a while to find his inner “it”.
In the motion picture, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis walks into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like yesterday’s news.
It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to find his initial voice. He kept at it and Phillips kept pushing him. x비디오 Eventually he did find it. And the rest is history!
What’s this got to do with business owners? Whatever!
You got ta discover your original voice. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
Do that and see your star shine.
